Please review and submit comments on the 2008 draft of the PTDLA Strategic Plan . Vision and mission statements were accepted at the 2008 PTDLA Business Meeting.

My sincere thanks go out to each and every one of you for all of your good work this past year. The 30th Annual Training Seminar was great, packed with lots of valuable hands-on training, interesting speakers, and excellent networking opportunities. I enjoyed getting to know the “newbies,” and deepening my friendships with the “old-timers.” It has been a wonderfully rewarding experience to serve as your president.

I offer special thanks to Leena Lalwani, Marian Armour-Gemmen, and Dawn Rohan for everything that they did to keep things rolling. There was a lot of extra planning and behind the scenes work this year, and they did a great job – way above and beyond the call of duty! My thanks, too, to the PTDLA Executive Council, and everyone who served on a committee. We have laid some good ground work, and it will serve us well as we work towards this year’s goal of focusing on outreach.

Please join me in supporting PTDLA officers for 2007/08 - Leena Lalwani (President), Karon King (Vice President/President Elect), Dawn Rohan (Treasurer), and Jim Miller (Secretary). Let’s all work together to focus our attention and efforts on outreach to our communities, and strengthening our channels of communication with one another. I will do my part, in my official capacities of Past President, Regional Representative for Region 4, and Owner of the PTDLA-L Listserv. As you can see, I do not intend to fade off into the sunset. So expect to hear from me. Thanks again for making this a truly memorable year!
